New Lifeboat – The new Buckie RNLI lifeboat, the 47 foot long, Laura Moncur
arrived safely in Buckie on Friday after its sea trip from Cowes on the Isle of
Wight. The new lifeboat cost £35.500 *(£35,636 15s 8d) and came north in company with a new
lifeboat for Whitehills.

Sent to William Osbourne's Yard at Littlehampton, East Sussex. for conversion to Inherent self-righting [pictures before and after]the first one of 6 such boats to recieve this conversion. 1974 Returned from Osbournes Littlehampton, Passage, Littlehampton, Dover, Gorleston, Amble, Montrose, Buckie. Crewed by George Wood, Jack Cole, Gordon Philips and Inspector Tom Notman.  


Returned to duty following conversion. Re-painted in now universal colours of Orange Superstructure.
